Rosewood Hong Kong named top hotel in World’s 50 Best 2025 list

The Rosewood Hong Kong has been named the number one hotel in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 list.

Opened in 2019, the 413-room property on the Kowloon waterfront was placed third in the 2024 list. It joins five other Asian hotels in the top 10, with 20 in total in the third annual list.

A series of Special Awards were also presented, given to best-in-class hotels and individuals. The Best Boutique Hotel Award went to Passalacqua (No.4) in Lake Como, for a second year; Desa Potato Head (No.18) in Bali took the Eco Hotel Award; Mandarin Oriental Qianmen in Beijing (No.14) won the Nikka Best New Hotel; Ian Schrager was honoured with the SevenRooms Icon Award; the Johnnie Walker Art of Design Award was presented to Singita – Kruger National Park (No.40); the Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group Award went to Four Seasons; Royal Mansour (No.13) in Marrakech was named the winner of the WhistlePig Highest Climber Award after rising 25 places in the ranking from No.38 to No.13; Copacabana Palace (No.11) in Rio de Janeiro won the Lavazza Highest New Entry; and the Lost Explorer Best Beach Hotel Award was presented to Atlantis The Royal (No.6) in Dubai.
