The Hoxton has opened its 11th property in Barcelona, in the Poblenou neighbourhood. The 11-storey hotel features a rooftop pool — with views over the Sagrada Familia — taqueria, bodega, pizzeria and basement event space.
The 240 rooms embrace ‘the sun and sea of Barcelona’ with terracotta tiles, handcrafted tapestries and floor-to-ceiling windows. Ranging from Roomy to Homey, with the latter featuring kitchenettes, dining areas, and the option of two double beds in separate rooms.
Tope, on the rooftop, is a Mexican taqueria offering DJs at the weekends and 360-degree views of the city with sun loungers and cabanas. Four Corners, on the ground floor, a pizza restaurant, sun terrace, slice shop and bodega, while La Cave is a basement space hosting local cultural programming and community events.
Poblenou, widely regarded as Barcelona’s coolest neighbourhood, is just north-east of the city and home to chic cafes, tapas bars and converted warehouses. The Hoxton, Poblenou is just a mile from the Sagrada Familia and a mile from the beach.
The brand will also open properties in Brussels and London’s Shepherd’s Bush this year, with further openings to come in Berlin and Vienna in 2023.
